JACKSONVILLE, Ore.– Dump trucks filled with marijuana plants left a Jacksonville farm Tuesday. The plants weren’t being harvested, they were being seized as evidence.High Hopes Farm is known as a fixture in the OMMP community. It is now the subject of a Drug Enforcement Agency investigation.Law enforcement officers from several agencies served warrants on the property Tuesday morning. A spokesperson for the DEA did not return calls asking for details of the investigation.High Hopes Farm was developed as a source of medical marijuana for patients who couldn’t grow their own. The owner told News10 last year that the farm grew nearly 500 plants for about 80 patients all over the state of Oregon.Supporters of the farm showed up at the raid Tuesday morning. While many of them had never been in the land, they told News10 the owner was known for trying very hard to stay within the confines of Oregon’s medical marijuana law.
